My Approach

Some of the modalities I use:

Couples

I believe that nurturing communication and fostering intimacy are essential components of a healthy relationship.

Couples often face various challenges that can strain their connection, and my goal is to help partners navigate these hurdles together.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) effectively strengthens emotional bonds and communication in couples. This structured approach helps partners identify and express emotions, fostering deeper connections. Through targeted interventions, couples cultivate vulnerability and empathy, disrupting negative cycles. EFT aims to establish a secure environment for partners to share needs and fears, resulting in a resilient and fulfilling relationship.

I combine evidence-based treatment methods with a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective.

My approach in therapy is collaborative and client-centered. I truly believe in the power of finding tailored solutions to the specific challenges my clients face. I take the time to ensure my clients grasp what they’re working on, because I know that more therapy doesn't always mean better outcomes. Instead, I emphasize the importance of accurately identifying the core issues and crafting an individualized treatment plan that leads to successful outcomes more swiftly.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, time-limited treatment that addresses the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By challenging negative thought patterns, individuals can improve emotional responses and actions. CBT effectively addresses anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship conflicts. In relationships, it enhances communication and intimacy by tackling cognitive distortions that lead to misunderstandings. Couples learn to express needs clearly and empathetically, and gain conflict resolution tools to confront challenges together. This fosters a resilient partnership built on understanding and respect.

Relational & Psychodynamic

Relational therapy is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the importance of interpersonal relationships and the dynamics within them, viewing the therapeutic relationship itself as a critical component of the healing process. It fosters a collaborative and authentic environment where clients can explore their emotions, patterns, and experiences in relation to others, ultimately promoting self-awareness and relational growth.

Psychodynamic therapy is a psychological approach that explores the influence of the unconscious mind on behavior and emotions. It aims to uncover deep-seated conflicts and unresolved issues from the past to facilitate personal growth and emotional healing.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive cognitive-behavioral treatment designed to help individuals manage emotional dysregulation and improve interpersonal effectiveness. It combines mindfulness practices with skills training in distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal communication.

DBT is particularly useful for individuals experiencing intense emotional states, as it equips them with practical strategies to cope with crises and improve their relationships. The therapy's structured approach fosters resilience, empowering clients to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and stability.
